Paplet Fry/Pomfret Fry/Talale Paplet |
Crispy pomfret fry taste great with fish curry (kalwan) and rice, a malwani feast

Ingredients :
6 pieces of Pomfret fish
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
3 tsp tamarind extract
Spices :
1 tsp malwani masala or as per taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt as per taste
For Cover
2 tbsp semolina
2 tbsp rice powder
Oil for shallow frying
Directions :
| 1 | Take cleaned pomfret pieces ,apply all the spices, ginger garlic paste and tamatind extract and set it aside for atleast half an hour. |
| 2 | Take oil in a pan and let it heat on medium heat. |
| 3 | In a dish combine semolina and rice flour and add salt and little red chillipowder to it. |
| 4 | Take the fish pieces and dip it in the flour mixture and ensure it is coated on all sides with it. |
| 5 | Shallow fry in a pan on mediem heat for 3 - 4 min on each side till the cover is crisp. |
You can substitute malwani masala with red chilli powder and garam masala.
