Surmai tava fry |
Ingredients :
6 pieces of Surmai fish
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
3 tsp tamarind extract
Spices
1 tsp red chillipowder or as per taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
salt as per taste
For cover
2 tbsp semolina
2 tbsp rice powder
Oil for shallow frying
Directions :

Take cleaned surmai pieces ,apply all the spices, ginger garlic paste and tamarind extract and set it aside for atleast half an hour.

Take oil in a pan and let it heat on medium heat.

In a dish combine semolina and rice flour and add salt and little red chilli powder to it.

Take the fish pieces and dip it in the flour mixture and ensure it is coated on all sides with it.

Shallow fry in a pan on mediem heat for 3 - 4 min on each side till the cover is crisp.
