Aloo Paratha |
My all time favourite paratha which I can have any time of the day.
Add some grated veggies like carrot or beet to make it healthy.

Ingredients :
For dough
2 cups whole wheat flour
2/3 cup water
salt as per taste
2 tsp oil
For Filling
3 cups boiled and mashed potatoes
salt as per taste
oil or ghee for shallow frying
Spices :
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1 tsp amchur powder
1 tsp chat masala
1/4 cup chopped coriander
Directions :
| 1 | Make dough for paratha by combining water, salt and 1 tsp oil. Combine the mixture well and add whole wheat flour to the emulsified mixture. |
| 2 | Knead smooth dough and apply oil to the dough and let it rest for atleast 10 min. |
| 3 | Meanwhile, prepare the stuffing for the paratha by combining all the ingredients mentioned under spices and make 8 golf ball sized balls. |
| 4 | Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. |
| 5 | Roll a the dough ball into 3'' diameter or that of puri and put the stuffing in the puri and seal the stuffing from all sides by pulling together the edges of the puri. |
| 6 | Roll the paratha with the help of dry wheat flour for dusting into desired thickness and roast it on a pan on medium heat till the outer cover becomes crispy. |
| 7 | Serve with curd, butter, tomato ketchup or chutney/ pickle of your choice. |
Note :
- For variation you can add cheese or paneer to the stuffing.
