Jhatpat Tandlache Ghavan/Instant Rice Dosa |
My mom is an expert dosa maker, I learnt this recipe from her however I feel I am yet to get the perfection in texture.
Traditional recipe calls for soaking rice in water for minimum 4 hrs and then grinding it to a fine paste. In this instant recipe I am using rice flour, its a great escape to those busy days when you can't think hard about what to cook.

Ingredients :
1/2 cup rice flour
1 cup water
finely chopped coriander
Oil for greasing pan
salt as per taste
Directions :
| 1 | Add little water at a time to the rice flour and make a runny batter. Batter should be thinner then the regular dosa batter. |
| 2 | Add salt and chopped coriander. Mix well. |
| 3 | Heat pan on medium heat, once the pan is hot grease the pan with little oil. Pour a ladleful of rice batter on the tava. |
| 4 | Let the dosa cook for a minute on each side. You can increase the cooking time if you like your dosa crispy. |
| 5 | Serve this with coconut chutney. Traditionally ghavan is served with sweetened coconut milk. |
